Background

Are you looking for an opportunity to work in an international project environment focusing on quality assurance of advanced electrical equipment? We are now seeking an experienced Quality Inspector / Quality Engineer for a long-term consulting assignment within complex industrial projects.

Description

In this role, you will work with quality management throughout the project lifecycle – from proposal phase through execution to final delivery. You will conduct inspections both internally and at suppliers' sites and collaborate closely with project teams and engineering functions.

The primary base for the assignment is Finspång, Sweden. The role requires travel within Sweden and Europe, estimated to comprise up to 60% of the working time annually.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform inspections at internal facilities and supplier sites

• Follow up inspection findings and actively drive resolution of open issues

• Participate in project meetings

• Provide quality support to engineering teams

• When required, act as Project Supplier Quality Manager (PSQM)

• Coordinate quality activities with classification societies and external stakeholders

Qualifications

Mandatory requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in inspection within an industrial or manufacturing environment

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or extensive professional experience in quality or inspection roles

• Knowledge of PED, ASME and/or structural design standards

• Fluent in English, spoken and written

• Strong organizational skills and structured working approach

• Good administrative skills and solid knowledge of MS Office

• Willingness and availability to travel as part of the role, including occasional work outside regular business hours

Meritorious qualifications

• Additional language skills besides English

• Certifications or training related to PED, ASME, AWS, or similar standards

• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering or equipment

• Experience with SAP and/or PLM systems

Terms

This is a consulting assignment where you will be employed by us and assigned to work on-site with our customer. Start date is according to agreement and the assignment is expected to be long-term.
